As flu season approaches, pharmacists are becoming very busy. As most of you know, the role of administering flu vaccines has been recently acquired by the pharmacy profession allowing pharmacists to expand their diversity of service to patients. This is a great time to display how valuable pharmacists can be in one of the many “front of the counter” services pharmacists have to offer. As a pharmacist, are you planning on administering flu vaccines this season? If so, how many do you plan on administering?

This is going to be a busy year for pharmacists, especially with the H1N1 vaccines becoming available shortly.
Does anyone else like the idea of pharmacists giving shots? I don’t! If I wanted to give shots I would have become a nurse.
Sam – Giving Flu shots is a great opportunity for Pharmacist’s to expand on our profession and provide improved patient care.
Call it what you want. I still don’t like it.
